Good morning, everyone. I’m_____, I’m an English teacher from ____. Today I would like to talk about how to design my teaching plan for the first part of Lesson Six in Book Two.
My topic is “How long have you been collecting shells?” and it consists of four parts: Analysis of the Teaching Material, the Teaching Methods, Studying Ways and Teaching Procedures. Part One: Analysis of the Teaching Material (I) Status and Function
This lesson is the first part of Unit 6. So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.
Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.
(II)Analysis of the students
The Ss have learned English for about a year and half so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. And they have taken great interests in English now. (III)Teaching Aims and Demands
Knowledge objects
Students can grasp the usage of the Present Perfect Progressive Tense.
Students can memorize and use the new words, phrases, and sentences.
Ability objects
The students can talk about how long you have been doing things.
The students can develop the abilities of listening and speaking.
Moral objects
The students can develop the abilities of communication, team spirit and co-operation.
