She tries to reduce women’s true life demand and emotional desires, call for the awakening of female self-consciousness , lead people to re-read the female body which has long been stigmatized and reshape the female images.By doing these,she tries to construct the illusion of outside culture space to replace the real world.Catherine Breillat’s films not only greatly promote the development of the feminist film, but also have revelatory meaning to contemporary women’s survival . More and more women break away from the traditional culture psychology after w a t c h i n g h e r f i l m s , t h e y b e g i n t o f o r m i n d e p e n d e n t consciousness,think about their own survival situation, and actively seek to realize the possibility of identity construction.This topic is studying on Catherine Breillat’s films.First of all,it uses a comparative perspective to classify Breillat ’ s film in allover co ntemplation . II Secondly,with the aid of the feminine principle movie theoretical analysis method,psychoanalysis ,semiotics and other disciplines regarding the feminine principle movie theory auxiliary research,it attempts to clarify female consciousness’s awakening process and presentation in the film text.It tries to find out the way of construction of right discourse by analyzing the true meaning of body show and sex practice in Catherine Breillat’s films.With these efforts,it wants to find out some positive factors which can contribute to Chinese female films.
