Coating process: Unwind the liner to the coating location for release coating. After the curing (evaporate of the solvent or of the release liner, some liner need to be back printed. Using a Flexographic printing process to imprint the back side of the release liner with either the trademark Fasson or wavy lines. Then the back printed liner goes to the adhesive coating station. Adhesive coating is designed to apply a consistent layer of adhesive to the release liner with minimal variation both across and down web. After the process of coating the adhesive onto the release liner, it will go through the oven or other equipment for driving out the water or solvent contained in the adhesive. Then laminate the release liner with adhesive to the facestock. The adhesive will then transfer to the facestock.
