ABSTRACT Homework is an essential part of teachers teaching ,and an important part of the students’ learning, also a continuation and supplement of classroom teaching. By doing homework, students can consolidate, internalize knowledge and skills, cultivate independent ability to solve problems, play their own subjective initiative, and can provide the feedback to the teachers teaching, help the teachers to judge the classroom teaching target completion, understand the students mastery of knowledge points in time, so that to adjust the teaching activities or take remedial measures in the future. However, in the six years of my primary school mathematics teaching, I deeply feel that many problems still existing in mathematics homework need to study, such as: large amount of homework assignments, being divorced from reality, lack of coordination with other teachers in communication; Irrespective of the student individual difference, homework one size fits all; homework evaluation only focuses on results, ignore the learning process, single assessment content; homework is much more the extending of knowledge, but lack of ability developing. These problems not only affects the students learning, and virtually restricted the students personality and character development. So the issue of homework designing, layout, grading and evaluation, not only to teachers teaching but students learning is a meaningful thing. This paper mainly adopts questionnaire investigation and literature research.
