In this unit,students study attributive cause by talking about their favorite music. The contents include:
1. key words,new phrases and target language.
2.?The attributive clause.
3. Help the students to talk about different music,books and sports .

1.Read the key words correctly and understand their meanings.

3.Make up conversations with the target language and try to improve speaking skills.

How to use”prefer” correctly;

三、教学过程
Step 1 Warm up
Free talk.
T: What kind of music/sports/books do you like?
S: I like...
T: Why?
S: Because it is/they are...
T: We can say “ I like music/sports/books that is/are...”
Enjoy a piece of music.
Students and teacher enjoy a piece of music “Trouble is a
friend” ,then talk about “ I like music that has great lyrics/ is popular/I can sing along with/I can dance to(用不同的句子来描述喜欢的音乐类型).”
Step 2 Presentation
Use some pictures of lyrics “Trouble is a friend” to teach the new words--- lyrics ,prefer.
Eg: I prefer the seaside to the mountains.?
Tom prefers reading to talking.?
He prefers to read rather than watch television.?
Students read and learn the new words after the teacher.
Step 3 Discussion
Learn some phrases about music first, and then the teacher communicates with the students “What kind of music do you like? I like music that....” Help them to discuss by using the following sentences:
“What kind of music do you like? I like music that....”
Students practice in groups.
Step 4 Practice
