摘要在九十年代全世界基础教育改革浪潮的背景下，我国提出了以“摒弃应试教 摘要 在九十年代全世界基础教育改革浪潮的背景下，我国提出了以“摒弃应试教 育，实施素质教育”为目标的教育改革。而这也为我国提出了如何创造适应“素 质教育”目标下的中小学建筑的新任务。 素质教育的提法是我国独有的，但其思想和实践却是全球的。纵观美国中小 学教育的改革历程，可以发现其基本理念和我国所提倡的“素质教育”是一致的， 即以促进教育公平和教育效率为目标，努力提高学生的素质。同时，当今美国在 中小学建筑设计方面已形成了一个专业化和科学化的体系，积累了丰富的经验， 保证了创造优秀的中小学建筑。因此，研究美国中小学建筑设计对于我国的中小 学建设具有重要的借鉴意义和价值。 本文首先简要地回顾了美国基础教育的发展历程及相应时期的中小学建筑 的发展过程，并运用系统的思想分析了美国中小学教育对其中小学建筑设计的影 响：一、由美国中小学教育理念和教育方针而形成的学校规划；二、美国教育系 统中自身的一些特点对中小学建筑设计的影响，包括美国的法规政策、家庭和社 区、学校的开发模式、美国的教育技术应用等。然后，从建筑布局、建筑形态、 内部空间、外部环境等多角度，总结和分析了美国中小学建筑的特点并通过大量 的建筑案例加以说明，并在当前新的时代背景和教育改革下，分析了美国中小学 建筑的未来发展趋势。最后，立足于我国当前的教育和中小学建筑的现状，研究 了美国中小学建筑对我国的启示。 关键词：美国中小学建筑教育变革素质教育发展趋势 ABSTRACTSince ABSTRACT Since 1 990s，the world begins tO reform the education．Our country put forward the aim of the education reformation--‘giving up the examination education， developing the quality education”．So，we are facing how tO create the new mode of the elementary school and middle school architecture to fit the quality education． From the history of the American basic education，we can see that their educational idea is same our country’S quality education．It is tO advance the educational．justice and the educational efficiency,and tO increase the quality of the students．And，the design of the American elementary school and middle school architecture have formed the professional and scientific system,and accumulated abundant experience．It makes to create the excellent architectures．Therefore，it iS meaningful for our country to research the design of the American elementary school and middle school architecture． First of an．the thesis reviews the history of the American basic education and its school architecture．And by the systemic method，it is analyzed tO the influence of the American education tO the design of the American elementary school and middle school architecture：1，its educational guideline forms its campus guideline；2，the particularity of the American educational system affects the design of the American elementa
