Methods 40 patients with extahepatic bile duct bstructive disease ( 19 patients with extahepatic ch led ch lithiasis and 21 patients with malignant biliary bstructi n) were examined by N- CT CP. The imaging data were rec nstructed and pr cessed t btain the minimum intensity pr jecti n ( MinIP) images. The MinIP images , axle s urce image ( ASI) , clinical diagn sis and surgical path l gy were analysed. Results All patients were examined successfully in h lding breath nce. The l cating accuracy f MinIP in extrehepatic bile duct bstructive disease was 100% , the qualitative accuracy was 85% . Conclusion N- CTCP can accurately define the bstructive site in ex trahepatic biliary bstructi n. The specificity f r the diagn sis f extrahepatic ch led ch lithiasis and malignant biliary bstructi n is very high when c mbining with ASI. Key words: bile duct bstructi
