Micro Motion produces several sensor geometries to fill the needs for different application requirements. The Elite meter is the worlds most accurate mass flow meter. It’s unique geometry provides high accuracy and low pressure drop on both liquids and gases, and it has a density accuracy of 0.0005 g/cc on liquids. The T-Series is a very good meter but is optimized for straight tube applications where compactness and drain ability are required. The F-Series is compact and drainable and targeted at basic flow metering needs. The H-Series is a variation of the F-Series targeted at hygienic applications where surface finish and certification by 3A or EHEDG is desired. The D600 is a very large meter for pipeline applications, the R-Series is a general purpose meter commonly used to replace PD meters, magmeters or turbine meters. Several additional specialty meters are produced, DT for high temperatures, DL for single tube sanitary applications and the CNG050 for compressed natural gas applications. The traditional Coriolis system has a sensor with a 9-wire junction box, a 9-wire shielded cable with 2 wires for each pickoff and drive coil (6) and three wires (3) for the RTD. Transmitters come in a variety of styles with various outputs, mounting configurations and displays. These note pages provide a script and some additional background information for this presentation. This presentation is focused on the improvements delivered by MVD Technology changing the front-end signal processing from analog to digital. Our current transmitters have a front-end signal processing system called Tri-Channel signal processing that eliminates temperature effects through switching between two channels to compensate and measure the raw signals. MVD now has a fully digital front-end using a DSP chip that is also used in modern digital cell phones. The benefits this brings to Micro Motion meters in the area of performance and diagnostics will be discussed. MVD makes our meters fast
