Unit 7 Presenting Products In this unit we will talk about features and benefits a successful product presentation Features and Benefits A Successful Product Presentation Practice Word 1Features and Benefits 1.1Startingup Make a discussion with your partner about which product you would like to own and why. What to pay attention to when presenting? Unique selling points (USPs): For nearly every type of product there are many similar goods on the market. The unique selling points (USPs) are the things that make it special and different from other similar products. A good product presentation, which will catch the eyes of the public, should describe these USPs. Features: When trying to sell a product, it’s important to give information about the product’s features or characteristics. Benefits: The benefits are the advantages of the product emphasized to the customer who will buy the product. 1.2Nokia mobile phone A Listen to the dialogue between a salesman and a customer. Fill in the blanks with the missing information. B Answer the questions according to your completed dialogue. 1.3Description words A Work in pairs. Among the words in the box describing products, find: 1. words relating to appearance 2. words meaning that something does not break down easily 3. words meaning that something is easy to carry 4. words meaning that a product does something without wasting time or money 5. words meaning that something is new and unlike existing products B Listen to a salesman describing a product to some buyers and tick (√)the words mentioned in it. fashionable □ stylish □ robust □ elegant □ attractive □ user-friendly □ high-quality □ well-designed □ practical □ reliable □ flexible □ popular □ C Listen again and write down the missing words and phrases
