Teaching material: Unit 4 Part A Let’s talk Let’s play in PEP English book of Grade 4
Teaching Objectives:
1.knowledge aims: Children can master the key sentences: “Is she in the……? Yes, she is. /No, she isn’t. ”and use them correctly in the real situation; pupils understand and say the sentences and words: “ Where is she? She’s in the kitchen. ” “ living room ,study, kitchen”.
2. Ability aims: Use the key sentences to describe the direction; get the useful information from the dialogue. Students can read and role-play the dialogue.
3. Emotion aim: Inspire children’s love for their home and animals.
Important point: Master the key sentences
Difficult points: ①Read the dialogue in the right tone and role-play the dialogue.
②Children can understand the word“she”
Prepare before the class: 1.ppt for this class.
2.word cards and pictures.
3.Some prizes.
Teaching steps:
1.Wram up: Teacher greets students with a simle at first. Now use some stationery to play the game :Hide and seek. It can help students to understand the key sentences in the real situation.
2.Prestation: ①Teach the new words . Teacher uses the pictures to teach the new words and play games “Who is quickly?” to help students remember these words.
②Teacher uses ppt to teach the key sentences and play games to practice the key sentences. Students talk in pairs and show themselves.
3.Practice:①Amy and Sarah are at Sarah’s home. What are they talking? Let’s watch the video of “Let’s talk” and answer the questions: Is she in the living room? Is she in the kitchen?
②Read the dialogue after the video. After that, practice with their partners. Teacher invites some students to show themselves.
4.: Consolidation: Today ,we learn about Unit4 my home. I love my home. Do you love your home? Now let’s check out the group match.
5.Homework: Design your dream home and talk with your friends.
