It is a kind of emotional embodiment of the specific period of local people, with the times and variability, and is a semi - closed oral culture. In the process of urbanization, local rural mythology has produced multi - dimensional changes with the development of society, and reconstructed the various related cultural systems in the countryside. This paper explores the inheritance of local rural mythology and the reasons of reconstruction through the image of cave owner for three generations in the Laodong village of Miao, Xiangxi. Then it analyzes the ideological evolution of rural groups under the great changes of the times and explores the symbiotic road of rural mythology and rural development.
