The current situation of the VFP programming teaching is analyzed and the case teaching is illustrated to be effective in VFP programming teaching. According to the characteristics of the VFP programming curriculum and the advantages of case teaching, the case teaching is applied to the VFP programming by using the typical cases? The practical case is analyzed and discussed, which stimulates the students‘ interest and effectively improves the studenabilities in analyzing and solving problems? The implementation of the case teaching strengthens the communication and interaction between teachers and students in the classroom , which enables students to accept the theoretical knowledge more easily and improves teaching efficiency. Key words： case； case teaching； programming； practice teaching 0引言 VFP程序设计是我校非计算机专业开设的一门基础课。 该课程从应用角度出发，培养学生掌握数据库理论知识、VFP 数据库管理系统的基本操作技能、程序设计的基本方法和面 向对象的程序设计思想。要学好该课程不仅需要扎实地学习 理论，而且还需要实践过程。对非计算机专业开设本课程， 重点在于培养非计算机专业学生严密的逻辑思维和使用计 算机处理问题的方法，以及利用软件开发环境解决本专业实 际问题的能力，为进一步学习其他计算机知识及今后使用或 开发数据库应用程序打下良好的基础。在实际教学过程中我 们发现存在着许多问题，如知识点多、学生掌握较困难、课 程本身抽象枯燥等；此外，学生对计算机课程的重视程度不 够，传统的教学方式忽视了学生主体性，使学生处于被动的 学习状态。因此，对于该课程的教学需要教师合理安排教学 内容，在课堂教学与上机实践中针对不同的章节内容不断分 析、总结、摸索出一些行之有效的教学方法；还需要改革传 统的教学模式。 1案例教学的内涵 传统的教学模式比较关注的是向学生灌输了哪些知识， 而忽视了学生学习潜能的开发，致使理论和实践脱节，学生 的学习兴趣和积极性不高。例如，在进行VFP的程序设计教 学时，传统的教学方法一般先将概念、理论、程序设计结构 及语句等灌输给学生，再分析相关的程序，然后上机实验。 用这种方式学生学起来会觉得枯燥，但如果教师通过案例引 导来说明理论知识，
