Teaching aims:
1. Language aim
To make the students learn some important and difficult words and phrases such as cover a story, have a good nose for, get the facts straight, get the wrong end of the stick.
2. Ability aims
a. To develop the students’ reading skills such as skimming, scanning.
b. To enable the students to know what is needed to become a reporter and how to conduct an interview.
3. Emotional aim
To let the students know the qualities a good journalist should have.
