Step1.Revision
Teacher demonstrate several statements about reading strategies. And get students to say they are true or false and give some reasons.
设计意图:让学生总结已在运用的阅读策略.反思自己平时不正确的阅读习惯.如阅读时手忙脚乱,动个不停,手指字行,头部摆动,口中念念有词,逐字阅读,复视,心译,词典翻来翻去,单词旁注满了汉字。
Leading in
T asks students what strategy they want to learn in order to improve their reading.
T elicits the topic of today’s lesson---How to use the “key ” to improve reading speed.
Ss speak out their ideas.
设计意图:激起学生的学习动机.
T organizes Ss to do a reading activity.
T asks Ss to report their data and get them to think what conclusion they can draw from it .
Step2.活动1.体验找出“关键句”对归纳和理解文章主旨和提高阅读速度的作用。
学生四人一组,A,B,C 同学承担阅读同一语言材料,完成阅读任务。
D同学记录时间和组织小组讨论。
3. 在小组讨论的基础上,全半讨论找出“关键句”对归纳和理解文章主旨和提高阅读速度的作用,使对学习策略的体验理性化。

Wu Ping, a university professor, said that her university has begun a course on newspaper reading for freshman English majors. They use English newspapers to teach. It is said that the students enjoy the course. “They say newspapers help them learn English, and also tell them the latest news around the world, ”she said.
Outside the classroom, English newspapers are thought by many people to be one of the most important and effective ways to learn English.
