一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词及短语:tiny, cry, field, hug, lift, badly, talk back, awful, teen, regret, poem, stay by one’s side, keep sb. from danger, hurt oneself, give sb. a hug, lift sb. up, regret doing sth.
2)掌握本篇诗歌中的重点句型should be allowed to do sth.
2. 技能目标:通过文本,学生能够在阅读中利用图片和诗歌快速理解语篇的段落大意,掌握诗歌阅读技巧。
3. 情感态度价值观目标:
通过歌曲,视频和图片等多种信息技术手段来让孩子感受、理解并接纳妈妈的爱,学会爱妈妈和感恩妈妈。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:1)掌握本课重点单词及短语及重点句型。
2)通过展示大意匹配,表格填空,回答问题等提高学生的阅读水平,培养学生的阅读技能。 2. 教学难点:仿写诗歌。
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming up
师生问候。
Ⅱ. Lead-in
Enjoy a song of Jay Chou. Then ask students: who is the man in the video? What’s his song about? Students: it’s about mother’s love, we should listen to our mother.
Ⅲ. Presentation
1. Present some pictures about the important phrases of this poem. Encourage students to say out the phrases.
A tiny baby/ she is crying/ They are running through the field/ has scary or awful dreams/ lift sb. up/ give sb. a hug/ be late for school/ A teen is talking back to her mom. Read after teacher.
Questions before reading
What kind of text is it? What’s the meaning of the title?
Ⅳ. Listen and match
Listen to the poem and match the main idea of each paragraph. Invite students to share the answers.
Ⅴ. Introduce the reading strategy to students
T: time order is very helpful, it can help you to get the information quickly.
Let student find out the sentences with time order together.
When I was a tiny baby....when I was two....when I was seven/nine...when I was a teen ...now I am an adult
