This day was created to make people realize the importance of saving our earth. In fact, many of our habits cause pollution. For example, people often order or cook too much food. Every time we throw away the food, we waste not only the food but also the energy and natural resources. As a result, it does great harm to our environment. What can we do to celebrate Earth Day? Start from the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reduce ◆“Clear Your Plate” Campaign: Order small food portions（份额）first. Better to add on than waste. ◆Organize a “Lights Off!” Campaign: Turn off the lights in your classrooms for two or three hours per day so as to use less electricity. ◆No Car Day: Choose 1 day to walk or ride bikes to school in order to reduce pollution. ◆Buy locally: choose local products if possible.
