教学思路
本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第三单元的第一课时,重点在于通过学习如何礼貌地提出请求和征求别人的许可,激发学生的兴趣。培养学生分担家务的习惯,任务以听说为主。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课的单词,以及能够运用句型“Could you please…?””Could I…?”礼貌地提出请求和征求别人的许可。情感目标定为让学生学会分担家务。

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
Greet the students and say:
I was very busy doing housework last Sunday .Can you guess what I did?
Help the students answer the question.
Show more pictures on the screen about doing the chores.Let the students guess what chore it is.
Discuss.
Do you usually do the chores at home on Sundays?
Step 2 Presentation
Tell them ,”I don’t like sweeping the floor ? Could you please sweep the floor ?”Guide them answer the question.
Students work in pairs,ask whether he/she likes doing some chores .If not ,ask another one for help.
Help them to make polite requests by using target language”Could you please …”
Step 3 Practice
Listen to 1b,2a and2b.
Check answers.
Role-play the conversation—One is sister and the other is brother.
Step 4 Group work
Make up different conversation by themselves between Peter and his father about doing the chores using patterns:
Could you /I …?
Yes/Sure,I/You can.
Sorry,I/ you can’t,I/You have to…
Step 5 Homework
How to be a better boy and girl?
Write an article about your plan of next weekend.What chores are you going to do to help your parents?
