Object Clauses
I. Teaching aims:

1. Definition: after verbs and prepositions
2. Order
从句中必须用陈述句语序,即“连接词+主语+谓语+其他部分”。如:
I don’t know where he lives.
3. Tense
宾语从句的时态应遵循以下三个原则:
(1) 需要性原则:主句是现在时,从句时态随句意。
(2) 呼应性原则:主句是过去时,从句用过去的某种时态。
(3) 特殊性原则:从句表示客观事实、真理、自然现象,用一般现在时,主句时态随句意。

引导词
作用
that
本身无意义,只起连接作用,口语中可省略
连接代词(what/which/who/ whose等)
在从句中作一定的成分,如:主语、宾语、定语等
连接副词(when/where/why/how)
if/whether
在从句中作状语意为“是否”,不作句子成分,不可省略,句尾有or not时只能用whether
