M咂TⅡoDS:Thequantitativeultrasoundbonemineraldensity(BMD)ma- chinewasusedtoexaminethemiddlepieceofrighttibiain5200patients whowererecommendedbythephysiciansofCentralHospitalofXinyang Ci竹. RESULTS:Theoccurrencerateofosteoporosiswas23.92%(25.38%for femalesand17.O2%formales).andthedetectionrateoflowbonemasswas 3O.85%(32.8O%f0rfemalesand21.54%fl0rmales),thereweresigni~- cantrencesbetweenmalesandfemales(=3.2,4.5,Plt;0.01).11le boneultrasoundconductionvelocity.thatwasBMDandboneintensity,was decreasedwiththeincreaseofageinfemalesafter50yearsold. CONCLUSIoN:Theincidenceofosteoporosisispositivelyrelatedwith age,anditisobviouslyhigherinfemalesthaninmalesforthereasonof menopause.Itisalsorelatedtotheirlivinghabits,participationinsports aetivitiesandtheirconscionsnossofhealthcaxe.Itishigherinthosewithlow bonema88thanthosewithosteoporosis.andthepreventionandtreatmentis significant.
