According to the characteristicof cable force optmi ization, the cable forces during the construction stage were calculated by secant iterativemethod considering the influencing factors such as the shrinkage and creep of concrete and geometric nonlinearity of the structure. In addition, the resultsof four proposalsw ith different adjusting orderswere contrasted from the aspects of tensile stress of kernelconcrete in steel tubes, inhomogeneity of cable forces, displacement ofvault and so on. The results show that ( 1) the computationalefficiency is mi proved by the secant iterativemethod, however, the scope of its applicability is lmi ited
