Text 12.1 What is tool radius compensation? Tool radius compensation is the act of accommodating for the cutting tool radius in order to produce the work piece of the correct geometry. 12.1什么是刀具半径补偿 刀具半径补偿是一种调节刀具半径的行为，其目的是使加工出来的工件具有正确的几何形状。它通常也被称为刀具补偿或刀尖圆弧半径补偿。 Text 12.2 How cutter radius compensation works Understanding how the CNC control interprets motions under the influence of cutter radius compensation should help you learn how to use it and avoid problems with programming. In basic terms, you will tell the control (by a G code) the relationship of the milling cutter to the workpiece during the machining operation. 了解CNC控制器在施加刀具半径补偿时如何编译运动，，将十分有助于了解如何在程序中使用半径补偿并避免出错。简单地说，程序员需要告诉（通过Ｇ命令）控制器加工过程中铣刀和工件的位置关系。 Text 12.2 How cutter radius compensation works Either the cutter will be on the left side (G41) or right side (G42) of the workpiece as it machines the contour. Once cutter radius compensation is properly instated, the control will keep the milling cutter to the left or right (depending upon your choice) of all motions programmed.
