Unit6 Section B 2a—2c 一、教学目标 1. 知识目标: 1. Words and Phrases: race, study, the united states,American, any other, young, child (children), miss, wish, delicious, still, the Dragon Boat Festival  2. Sentences: It’s like any other night. Zhu Hui misses his family and wishes to have his mom’s delicious zongzi. …but there’s still “no place like home” 2. 能力目标: (1)通过文章插图等预测文章的主旨大意,训练学生快速阅读的技巧。 (2)训练学生运用扫读,快速获取相关信息的能力 3. 情感目标:了解东西方关于端午节的文化差异,增强文化意识。 4. 方法策略:学习策略运用选择、连线、问题、构建思维导图等方式让学生掌握泛读和精读等阅读方法和策略。 二、教学过程 I. Warm-up and lead-in Show a video about the Dragon Boat Festival Talk about what the video is about. 通过关于端午节的视频,让学生学习了解端午节的知识,为正式篇的学习做好背景铺垫,帮助学生预测文章主旨大意。 II. Pre-reading Predict: Look at the pictures on the book. Can you guess what this passage is about? It’s about_________. A: How to make zongzi B: How to have boat races C: The dragon Boat Festival—differences between China and the US. 带领学生看课本图片,引导学生预测文章的大意。 III . While-reading (1) Reading strategy: Divide the article into four parts. 将文章分成四部分。 (2) Scanning (Moving eyes quickly down the page to find the information.) 运用扫读的阅读策略找到与问题相关的信息,培养学生快速阅读的技巧 Let students read the first sentence of each part and match the main idea with them. Para1 A. Zhu Hui’s feeling. Para2 B. The activities in his host family Para3 C. The introduction about Zhu Hui. Para4 D. The activities in his family. 第二种阅读技巧的培养,是通过读每段的首句来猜测其大意的方式来实现的。以连线题的形式呈现有助于降低难度,增强学生阅读的自信心。 (2) Comprehension This part can be seen as detailed reading. Let students read one part after another and get information in each part. (a) Read part 1 and answer the questions. 1. What’s the story about? 2. Where is he from? 3. Where is he studying now? 4. Who is he living with? (以问题的方式呈现,能够降低难度,让学生能顺利理清主要脉络,同时在PPT中呈现关键词,为复述做铺垫) ( 根据思维导图,师生一起复述第一部分) (b) Read part 2 and fill in the chart.
