A u ser s client app lication program on the client end is developed w ith M icrosoft V isua l C# . NET to contro l the cam era to recognize bar code pictures. The u sers can send N ative mode comm and to the cam- era v ia serial comm unication m odue in c lient program, so that the cam era comp letes a series of operation o f bar code recogn ition. T hen the resu lt would be returned to the c lien t end through the serial port. The system has been pro- duced and can be u sed in practise.
