Abstract: Based on the overall incremental launching construction of beam-arch composite arch bridge of
Jiubao bridge in H angzhou, the finite element sofwt are MIDAS /Civil was adopted to smi ulate the overall
incremental launching construction, and the stresses of the measuring points on the critical sections of the
main longitudinal beam, themain and side arches, the launching nose and the temporary poleweremeasured
and analyzed. The results show that ( 1) during the process of incremental launching, actual stresses of
measuring points are in good agreementw ith the smi ulated results; ( 2) them easuredmaxmi um stressesof the
main longitudinal beam and the main arch do not exceed the allowable stress of steel, the stress of the
principal structure is uniform in lateral direction; ( 3) at the joint section, the rigidity between the launching
nose and the main longitudinal beam
