13 14 Additives The deposit from an acid copper plating solution is matte pink in color, as shown. The DECA-LUME EXTRA process utilizes two additives for obtaining a bright deposit. These are called DECA-LUME EXTRA Make-up and DECA-LUME EXTRA brightener. The make-up additive is added only when making a new solution, while the brightener is added to a new solution and is consumed by ampere hours and drag-out losses.
