tt Structure and mould of injection machine 主讲人：杨崇岭 1 The basic process involves six major steps in the molding cycle: 1、The hopper is loaded with granular plastic materials. 2、Heat is applied to the plastic until it becomes soft enough to flow. 3、the softened plastic is forced through a nozzle into the mold cavity. 4、Then cool ,the halves of the mold are separated. 5、The part is ejected from the mold. 6、Gates connecting the product to the runner system are remove. 2 Molding Process: Plastic granules are fed into the hopper and through an opening in the injection cylinder where they are carried forward by the rotating screw. The rotation of the screw forces the granules under high pressure against the heated walls of the cylinder causing them to melt. As the pressure builds up, the rotating screw is forced backward until enough plastic has accumulated to make the shot. At this point the screw is hydraulically forced forward ,injecting injecting the plastic through the nozzle,on through the the sprue and runners ,and into the cavities of the closed mold. 5. Pressure is held briefly in order for the plastic to set,after which the screw retracts,releasing the pressure. Water cooled molds cause the plastic to cool quickly. 6. The mold is opened and the part is ejected from the movable half of the mold,usually by air pressure or spring loaded ejector pins. 7. The mold is the closed to begin another cycle.
