But how do you get there? Possible answer: take the plane; take the bus; ride the bike and so on T: Yes, we need bus, bike, plane and so on. They are all transportation. They are important for us. So, today, let’s talk about the transportation. Step 2: Introduce some kinds of transportation. Show some pictures of transportation First ask students to tell what they see, using whatever words they can. The teacher gives some encourage evaluation to students’ answers. Then teacher supplies the words or sentences and ask the class to repeat. e.g. T He rides the bike to work. They walk to some place. Step 3 Introduce language goals First play a game: let students guess how the teacher gets to school, how far it is from the teacher’s home to school. And how long it takes. Then the teacher asks these questions and students try to give the right answer one by one. At the same time the teacher write the questions and answers on the blackboard The teacher gives some encourage evaluation to students’ answers. Step 4: Ask and answer in pairs Show students some pictures. Ask student to ask and answer in pairs using the information in the pictures.
