Unit12 Life is full of the unexpected
Section A 1a-2d教学设计
Step1.Lead in
Ask the students what they usually did in the morning before school, ask if they like the mornings or not.
T: Boys and girls , what did you usually do in the morning before school?
Ss may answer: I got up ,washed my face ,took a shower, had breakfast……
T:From your answers, I know everyone has a lot of things to do in the morning .If we get up late in the morning ,we’ll be very busy. So we should have a good habit of getting up very early every day.
(设计思路:通过老师询问学生早上上学前的活动情况引起他们对本节课的学习兴趣,把学生带到过去时的语境中,进而引到本节课的话题。)
Step 2.Presentation
Teach the new words with the pictures.
T: What happened to Peter?
S1: He was late for work.
T: Yes, he got up late, that means he overslept. Use the same way to present other words.
Talk about the pictures in 1a.
Finish 1b. (Let students read the three parts of the sentence, then listen and fill.)
Play the recording for the first time.(Students only listen.)
Then play it again. Students fill in the blanks, then check the answers by asking some students to tell their answers.
Grammar.
First, let students pay attention to the words of “by the time” “had gotten” “had left”.
Second, encourage students to find out the new grammar and tell the difference between the past tense and the past perfect tense.
Third, encourage students to make sentences with the past perfect tense.
At last , the teacher explains the grammar in details.
(设计思路:根据图片学生能轻松的用过去时进行回答与讨论,通过pair work 的练习,学生们对上述词组和语法有了一定程度的掌握,为下面新的语法结构—过去完成时的学习打下基础,通过听录音输入新的语法结构,体现学生的自主、合作、探究精神,学生从中感受成功的喜悦。)
Step3. Consolidation.
Help the students finish 2a, 2b, tell them to take the notice of the new grammar.
Encourage students to practice in pairs about all the pictures about Mary’s morning.
Help the students to fill in the blanks.
(设计思路:通过引导学生完成2a,2b的练习,并完成故事填空,进一步巩固和强化记忆,而让学生看图并描述整个Mary早晨活动的情况,不仅学生的课堂主体性显得淋漓尽致,而且学生对所学内容也会有进一步的理解和掌握。
Step4. Role-play 2d.
(设计思路:进一步巩固所学内容。)
