Teaching Plan (review) Lily Wang (No. 17 Middle School) PAGE PAGE 10 Teaching Plan for the topic environment Objectives: By the end of this session, students will be better able to apply the target language they have learnt about the topic environment and that they can use to talk about this topic referring to the academic benchmark. Learning and Teaching Focus: Helping Ss to develop the skills of listening, writing and reviewing. Anticipated difficulties: 1. Some Ss might wonder what each affix means and why words are made up with different affixes. Solutions: (1) I’ll have Ss find more words and find the rules of affixes. (2) I’ll talk more about it when reviewing grammar. 2. Ss of lower levels might have difficulties in writing a complete article. Solutions: (1) Having this part of Ss choose to write one of the three parts of the article. (2) I’ll correct their homework with them face to face so that I can tell them how to modify their composition. 3. Ss might not review and summary on their own actively. In this teaching period, I’ll help Ss draw a chart like this: Later on, I’ll have them do it on their own in every lesson. To start with, I’ll give them the structures and have them fill in the chart. Then I’ll have them draw the chart by themselves as well. 4. Teaching Aids: PPT Learning and Teaching Arrangement Stages/ Timing Ss’ Teacher’s Before class 1. Find some adjectives that can be used to describe the changes of the world. 2.
