Present the structure of last lesson. show some pictures , make conversations with the students by using “What is he /she doing …?She / He is …”to lead into 2a and 2b. Revise the present continuous tense , then show a card about 3a, ask students to finish the exercises in this part. Help them to feel the present continuous tense. Step 3: Practice. Ask the students to make conversations to practice 3a. Step 4 Listening : Listen to the tape again ,ask students to find out the words which describe the weather. Lead into the next topic . Step 5.Check the result of pre-view. Ask two students to read the new words on the board and the other students read after one of them. Help them Step 6: Present the new lesson . 1) Show some pictures of different weather, learn the new words and sentence pattern by talking about the pictures . During the class, make conversations between the teacher and the students, students and students . 2)Show some pictures about some beautiful cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Boston , Moscow , and Toronto. Show the pictures in 1a, ask students to find out the right pictures , then finish 1b. Step 7: Pair work. Lead the students to look at their books 1c, help them to make a phone call.
