* * * * * * * * * * * * * During development of brakes, it was considered only the tangential and radial loading to the rotor lug design. According to an enhanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) technique, it was verified that it is necessary to consider also the axial loading condition. The enhanced method used shows negative margins at the rivet hole location on the current in-service rotor lug design, for both Rotor 1 and Rotor 2 positions. Revision of AMM TASK 32-49-11-210-801-A on November, 2011 to include an inspection of the rotor lugs on the brake assembly during the wear pin inspection. = 14days per MRB. This modification intends to prevent Escape Slide Control Command Cable failure and consequently an inadvertent activation of the slide during the normal door operation.
