The reading part is about My Gap Year. The passage introduces Mark’s traveling experiences in different countries. Then the writing task is that Mark continued his travel in two cities in China and describes it. The teacher helps students develop their cultural consciousness as well as linguistic knowledge and skills in speaking and writing. 2. Students: With a period of learning in senior high school, students have made progress in speaking and writing. This lesson will not only pay attention to the development of students’ speaking and writing ability, but also help the students develop their interest and gain confidence in learning English. Ⅱ. 【Teaching aims】 1. Knowledge objects 1). To help students use related words and conjunction to describe Mark’s traveling experiences in Xi’an and Hangzhou in a paragraph. 2).
