Lesson 14 Are You Short or Tall ? 教学目标 1、知识目标: 学习单词 short tall point meter 学习句型How tall are you? I’m _____ meters tall. 2、能力目标: ⑴ 能够听、说、读、写句型 How tall are you? I’m _____ meters tall. ⑵ 能够在真实的情境中正确使用该来描述自己和他人的身高。 3、情感目标 1) 鼓励学生勇于表现自己,善于表现自己,通过这个话题的学习和语言训练,能灵活运用在日常口语交际中。 2)激发学生学习英语的兴趣,调动学生的积极性,提高同学们的自信心;引导学生积极的与他人合作,互相帮助,培养合作意识与集体荣誉感。 3)教育学生要注意合理饮食,注意加强体育锻炼。 学时重点 正确使用How tall are you? I’m _____ meters tall.来描述自己和他人的身高。 学时难点 通过练习可以运用本课自由交流taller和 shorter来描述身边事物。 教学活动 活动1【导入】Let’s see a film about The Snow White 1、See the filmThe Snow White (设计意图:?提高学生的学习兴趣。) 2、Let the student fell Snow White is tall. The short man is short. (设计意图:动画导入直观形象,能够清晰的初步感知高矮这两个单词。) 活动2【新授】Presentation Step 1 导入课题 T: In this film ,What can we see? S: we can see they are dancing and singing. They are happy. T: Also we can see this man stand on that man’s should. They are dancing with the Snow White . So we know that the Snow White is tall ,the man is short. (板书:tall short ) Snow White is tall. The man is short . ( Read after me .) T: Are you short or tall ? (Ask some students ) (板书课题) S: I am short . Toady we will learn new lesson. Lesson 14 Are you short or tall ? (出示课题 并跟读) (设计意图:通过与老师同学英语对话认读单词,并通过对话熟悉课题,帮助了解本课主要内容。完成知识目标1.) Step 2 New structures Last lesson we have learned how old are you ? Today we will learn how tall are you ?Can you guess how tall is Snow white ? How tall is the short man ? How tall is she ? How tall is he? (板书) 2、Guess and learn the number . 1.62m: one point six two meters tall. 0.99m: zero point nine nine meter tall. Snow white is 1.62 meters tall. The short man is 0.99meter tall. (设计意图:把单词放在句当中,通过猜词游戏练习数字的读法,使认读单词不在单调枯燥,并且有助于实际应用能力的提高。完成知识目标2) Step 3 pair work Show a picture and talk with your partner. Guess how tall is she?/he? (设计意图:两人合作练习,巩固句型。) Step 4 Listen and an
