Ford 2000 has created five major reengineering efforts. The reengineering effort that designed this Measurables training is the Ford Production System(FPS). At the core of the FPS are its Principles, Stretch Objectives, Plant Operating System, and the FPS Measurables. To prepare each plant for a full-scale implementation of the FPS, the development team has created several building blocks. The Measurables project is the first building block to be implemented.
