Method: One hundred sixty-two elderly AD outpatients were randomly selected from Sanjiu brain Hospital of Guangdong Province for general investigation, and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Beijing version of MOCA, were used. Severe Impairment Battery (SIB) and Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive subscale (ADAS-Cog) were conducted to determine the severity of cognitive dysfunction, and Neu- ropsychiatric questionnaire (NPI) was conducted to evaluate the patients’ mental and behavioral symptoms and the difficulty of care.
