PAGE PAGE # 初中英语专题教案 状语从句(二) 、专题详解 (五)目的状语从句 目的状语从句, 主要用来补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的目的。 常用来连接目的状语从 句的连接词及其短语主要有: so that /in order that /for fear that /lest/in case. 如: He got up early so as to catch the first morning bus. So as to catch the first morning bus ,是用 来补充说明 got up early 的目的状语。 He got up early so that he could catch the first morning bus. He could catch the first morning bus,是用来补充说明 got up early 的目的状语从句。 引导词 用法 示例 so that 意为“以至,以便”。目的状语的谓语常含 有 may, might, can, could, should, would 等情态动词。 Try to speak loud enough so that people can hear you clearly. Mr. Green speaks very loudly so that all the people can hear him clearly. in order that 意为“为了”,相当于so that. in order to 后 面可以跟动词原形构成目的状语,不是 目的状语从句。 We shall let you know the details soon in order that you can/may make a arrangements. 其他用法: so that 表示 “为了;以便 ”。如: We turned on the light so that we might see what it was. (我们把灯打开,以便看看它是什么。 ) They put a screen around his bed so that the doctor could examine him. (他们在他床的四周放上屏风, 以便医生给他检查。 ) 【注意】 (1)so that 有时可以省略 so,直接用 that 连接。如: Bring it closer (so) that I may see it better. (把它拿近点儿,让我看看仔细。 ) (2)当主从句的主语一致时, so that 引导的状语从句可以改为短语结构 so as to do 。如: 从句: We made a strategic withdrawal, so that we could build up our forces for a renewed attack. (我们 作了一次战略性退却,以便我们能积蓄力量再次进攻。 ) 短语: We made a strategic withdrawal, so as to build up our forces for a renewed attack. (六)结果状语从句 结果状语从句是英语学科中的一个句型。从句常由 so? that或 such ? that引导。 引导词 用法 示例 so?that 意为“如此?以至于?”。 so+ adj./adv.原级 +that, so 是副词,只 能修饰形容词和副词。 so 还可与表示 数 量 的 形 容 词 many, few, much, little( 这四个形容词表示多或少时 )连 用,形成固定搭配。 This year it has rained so heavily in South China that lots of problems are caused. The ice on the lake was so thin that people couldn t skate on it. such..that 意为“如此?以至于?”。有三种结构: such+a(an)+adj.+ 单 数 不 可 数 名 词 +that; such(+adj.)+ 不可数名词 +that; such( + adj.) + 复 数 可 数 名 词 +that, such 是形容词,修饰名词或名词词 组。有时可与 so?that 句型转换。 Its such a wonderful song that we all like it.
