This pper explores how the cross-culturl fctors nd culturl distinctions ffect foreign lnguge teching in Chin. In terms of Teching by principles written by HDougls Brown, “the lnguge-culture Connection” is one of the emotionl fctors in English s foreign lnguge (EFL) teching, which ffects techers nd students in clssroom teching. So successful techer or student must lern something of the culture of the spekers nd tht lnguge. It goes without sying tht “lnguge nd culture re intrictely intertwined” (Brown, H.D, 20XX). “Lnguge is prt of culture nd plys very importnt role in it” (Deng YngchngLiu Renqing, 1989,p3). s fr s culture nd EFL teching re concerned, some specilists (Wng Lifei, 2000, Hu Wenzhong, 1993, Su Dingfng, 1988, etc) hve done much reserch, which lid solid foundtion in this field. The min purpose of writing this pper is to explore how the culturl fctors or culturl distinctions influence EFL teching in order to instruct our clssroom teching.  1. Culturl Differences.  Our term here “Culture refers to the totl pttern of beliefs, customs, institutions, objects, nd techniques tht chrcterize the life of humn community”(Deng,p3). Cultures differ from one nother nd ech culture is unique. Culture differences my include mny things. Here re some exmples.  1.1 Different Socil Customs.  We often her foreigner techer in lnguge clss remrk to girl student: “Your English is very good, relly quite fluent.” To this she would sy: “ No, no, my English is quite poor”
