ABSTRACT This paper first discusses the relevant concepts, hazardous, drug resistance, mec hanism of drug resistance, resistance characteristics, detection methods and the rese arch status at home and abroad on the staphylococcus aureus. And then using the gra m stain, separation of culture, biochemical tests and drug sensitive test methods, to st udy the patients of different departments in YiChun peoples hospital,the results show that the statistical results of Staphylococcus aureus in the twenty nine months, there were 714 strains of S.aureus isolated. Staphylococcus aureus mainly come from sputum samples,accounted for 63.6%; according to the distribution of departments,respiratory department of internal medicine has the absolute advantage, 48.6%, and followed by department of neurosurgery, 27.1%;506 strains of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus ciureus^MRSA) were detected. MRSA in the years January 2012?May 2014 detection rate showed an increasing trend year by year.Through the sensitive test, through Staphylococcus aureus to 15 kinds of antibiotics, that all the S.aureus strains were sensitive to vancomycin, but showed varying degrees of resistance to other antimicrobial agents, so we should increase the monitoring efforts to Staphylococcus aureus, in order to delay the drugs resistance of S.aureus.
