Control strategy for multi-pump emulsion power station in coal mine face ABSTRACT Shearer and hydraulic support are matching equipments. To increase the operating speed of the shearer, the follow-ing speed of hydraulic support must be increased. This means increasing the volume of flow from emulsion power station. Analyzing the operating characteristics of hydraulic supports, the number of simultaneously operating supports is obtained by means of pressure parameter and time history at a certain time, which is a theory base for development of control system to multi-pump emulsion power station. Keywords：Emulsion pump；Mining face；Hydraulic support；Control algorithm Introduction Recently, in order to substantially improve the effi-ciency of coal mining, the operating speed of shearer fully mechanized mining face has been improved from 4~6 m/min traditionally to ten meters per minute and even more than 20 m/min. Because of such a high op-erating speed of shearer, the advance speed of hydrau-lic support as the matching equipment must have been improved to ensure timely protection of the exposed roof and the safety of the workers and the equipments on working face, giving full play to the shearer’s working ability. The following speed of hydraulic support should change with the operating speed of shearer. Shearer working to increase the operating speed, the follow-up hydraulic support speed and shearer working to reduce the operating speed, hy-draulic support rate of follow-up must also be reduced in order to ensure the hydraulic support with the pace of the shearer match. The transfer speed of hydraulic support plane mainly lies on the emulsion flow. At the same time, while emulsion flow increases, the speed of support -shift increases.
