Step1: Warm-up
1. Greeting
2. TPR:Review the words in last unit
Step2: Lead in
T takes out the card of the clown and ask students “what do you see?”
After students answer me, I’ll tell a story: ‘When the god was making the clown, he asked the clown:“What do you want to have?” The clown said:“I want a very big nose, very big mouth, a red face, two big eyes and two long ears.”The god said:“Yes, I give them to you .” Then, the clown look into the mirror. “Oh, My God, I’m so ugly!”
T: So, this is clown’s big face! Today, let’s learn ‘My face.(write on the blackboard)
Step3: presentation
1. T sticks the picture with different face parts on the blackboard.
2. Read the words following T.
3. T points to the pic, the students say the word.
4. T asks 1 student to point to his face parts, the others say the words.
5. Learn the chant. (sing along the song and use the hands)
Step4: Practice
1. Game: “I say you do”
(1)T:Touch your nose/eye/mouth/ear/face
Ss: use their finger to touch their…
(2)T asks one student to stand in front of others, and say “touch your…”others follow the instructions .
2. Game: whisper the word.
First, T prepares small pics and put them on the desk in front of the classroom.
T divides the class into 4 groups, and tells the first student of each group one word. When T says “Go!”, the first student whisper the word to the next, and then… to the last. The last student come to the front desk, and find the pic that he/she heard.
At last, T will check the answers with each group. If they’re right, give this group one star.
Play this game twice to make them be more familiar with the new words.
