MethodsThe myocardial hypertrophy model was established through hypodermic injection for 10 coecutive days at back skin with Iso, 1 mg/（kg·d）.Once the model was formed, the rats were administrated with various concentratio of PBNA or in intragastric way from the second day for 14 days. 12 h after the last administration,blood and heart were taken under anesthesia, the indexes of whole heart and left ventricle were calculated and NOS activity and MDA level of myocardial tissue were determined with kits. ResultsThere was obvious difference between Iso group and group. Indexes of whole heart and left ventrical in Iso group were much higher than those in control one, NOS activity was decreased while MDA concentration was increased in left ventricle. However, both indexes of whole heart and left ventricle were decreased in BAEB group, furthermore, NOS activity was strikingly enhanced and MDA concentration was reduced in PBNA group. ConclusionBAEB has a protective effect on myocardial hypertrophy caused by Iso, and its mechanism may be related with clearance of OFR and NO concentration promotion.
