Method In our study，five hundred and ninety primipara with trial of labor from June，2008 to September，2008 were adopted as comparative object (the trial group) by Quasi-experimental study and convenience sampling，with five hundred and ninety primipara with trial of labor from June，2009 to September as the research object (the control group). The trial group were given accompanied music guided delivery and participating in midwifery clinical education in the outpatient，but only accompanied music guided delivery for the control group. The mode of delivery，level of childbirth pain，confidence of the natural childbirth，duration of labor，the rate of neonatal asphyxia and the rate of postpartum hemorrhage were compared between the two groups. Results The level of childbirth pain in the trial group and the rate of uterine-incision delivery were lower in the control group，and there was statistically significance difference which reached between the two groups (p﹤). The rate of neonatal asphyxia and the rate of postpartum hemorrhage in the trial group were significantly lower than the other group. Concolusion Midwife in outpatient clinic can relieve the pain in the childbirth，
