So…that 和so that 的对比
1.so＋形容词或副词＋that+句子 ...引导结果状语从句,意思是“如此…..以至于”
例如：He is so young that he can’t go to school. 他太小了以至于不能去上学。
Mary’s coat is ____________she likes it very much.玛丽的衣服很漂亮以至于
她很喜欢
2. so that 可以引导目的状语从句和结果状语从句，意思是“以便”,从句中常使用can
/could /may /might /will /would /should 等情态动词等；引导结果状语从句时，从
句中一般不用can 和may 等词，在so that 前可以用逗号，意思是“因此;所以”
例如：1）He got up early so that he can catch the early bus.
3) He got up early so that he won’t be late.
2）She bought a digital camera online so that she would save a lot of time.
3）He injured his foot，so that he was unable to play in the match．
请对比下面两个句子：
1）The boy is so shor tha he can’t reach the apple.
2）The li le boy saved every coin so tha he could buy his mother a presen
on Mothers day.
3）George often told stories tha weren true，?so tha no one believed him when
he tell a true story.
试翻译下列句子：
1）拿近一些，好让我看得更清楚些。
2）男孩太小了以至于不能照顾自己。
3）这件衣服太贵了以至于我没有买。
3．So tha 的句型转换：so tha 引导目的状语从句的时候可以转换为in order tha ，
意思还是“以便”，后面加一个句子，同时也可转换为so as to do sth.或in order to
do sth.的句型。要注意，in order tha 可以放在句首，但是so tha 不能。
He got up early so that he can catch the early bus.
=He got up early in order that he can catch the early bus.
=He got up early so as to catch the early bus.
=He got up early in order to catch the early bus.
在否定句中可以这样替换：
He got up early so that he won’t be late.
=He got up early in order that he won’t be late
=He got up early so as not to be late.
=He got up early in order not to be late.
请同学试着替换这个句子。

4. so…that 的句型转换：
1)so…that 的句型转换可以用 too….to do sth. 来代替，但所表达的意思是“太….
而不能’’
The boy is so short that he can’t reach the apple.
=The boy is too short to reach the apple.
试转换：He is so young that he can’t go to school.
2)so…that 的句型还可以用 not ….e
