Analysis of the teaching material
The text is from one of the Grimms ’ fairy tales. The content is very intriguing and interesting. Th
languag knowledg in the text is not difficult, mainly serves as revision to th former part of this
unit. And it ’s presented in the form of a play. So it ’s necessary for the teachers to inform the students
about some basic knowledge about the play and guide the students to act out.
Students analysis
This class consists of students of low languag competence. They do not hav much interest in
learning English, especially difficult content. However, this unit of the book, particularly this part of
the unit can arouse the students ’ interest. Since this period of class is about reading a fairy tale and
