The small town is an important part of the urban system. Politics， economy， science， culture within the jurisdiction of the small town play a important role . Although the small town economy has a development in recent yea， but comparing with developed cities， small tow still exist a certain gap. Leading to disturbthe ecological balance，and breaking the environmental advantage are the cotruction policyof small tow. Therefor the government need to strengthen the cotruction of small tow，especially the green space system. According to the environmental advantages，small tow choose proper urban planning to reach the urban cotruction 。 Through the detail of small tow development background， the article analyzed the characteristics of the green space system planning， and put the problems such as the green spaceplanning of environment breaking away from city planning， ignoring the planning area， singlegreen space layout structure ， the lack of green space flexibility.
