Step1. Lead in
Ask students to do an action “ Open and close a door” twice.
For the first time, students can use their arms and hands, but
imagine they’re disabled for the second time. Try to open and
close the door without using arms and hands. Then lead them to
say out the difficulties disabled people have in life
Step2. Pre-reading
Wit the help of picture, students are asked to make
predictions.
Step3. While-reading
Task 1:
Predict who Ben Smit writes to and then read para.1 and
answer “Why did Ben write to Miss Li?”
Task 2:
Read para.1 and para.4 and answer “What kind of letter is
it?” and learn the phrase of “make a diffe
