Methods A total of 152 patients with cold urticaria were randomly divided into Chinese medicine compreheive therapy group （51 cases）， oral Chinese medicine group （51 cases） and Western medicine group （50 cases）. Chinese medicine compreheive therapy group received oral Sanhan Xiaozhen drink combined with fumigation of Chinese medicine， acupuncture， medicine separated umbilical moxibustion therapy， oral Chinese medicine group received oral Sanhan Xiaozhen drink， and Western medicine group received cyproheptadine and loratadine granules. The treatment effect in three groups was compared. Results Chinese medicine compreheive therapy group had excellent rate and total effective rate respectively as 96.08% and 100.00%， which were higher than 66.67% and 86.27% in oral Chinese medicine group and 56.00% and 80.00% in Western medicine group. Their difference was statistically significant （P0.05）. After treatment， three groups had lower quality of life score than before treatment， and the difference was statistically significant （P0.05）. After treatment， Chinese medicine compreheive therapy group had lower quality of life score than oral Chinese medicine group and Western medicine group， and their difference was statistically significant （P0.05）. Conclusion Chinese medicine compreheive therapy shows affirmative efficacy in treating cold urticaria， and can obviously improve the quality of life of patients. It is worthy of clinical refer
