In the business world, it is common that you are required to organize certain information or materials. Technical analysis is a way to make sense of an otherwise overwhelming amount of information. By using analysis, you can establish a whole, identify the parts that make up the whole, and clarify the relationship between the whole and the parts. There are basically two types of technical analysis: classification and partition. Classification organizes collections of facts into groups, whereas partition breaks a single large item or concept into parts. Each approach is a way of making sense of large quantities of information, but the difference is the direction.
