This course provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the corrosion and protection techniques of different production systems, installations and protection objects (including drilling systems, oil extracting systems, field gathering and transporting systems, offshore oil/gas equipment, oil/gas pipelines, storage tanks and refining equipment, etc.) in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. The course highlights the design, construction and production management of corrosion and protection, including key technologies in the petroleum industry such as coatings, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, material selection, detection and evaluation, as well as the latest emerging technologies at home and abroad. By learning this course, students can understand the common corrosion environment, corrosion forms and corrosion rules in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, and master the common anti-corrosion technologies, including cathodic protection technology, coating protection technology, and pharmaceutical anti-corrosion technology.
