Step 1 Lead-in
1. Ask students to answer question: Do you know what a public holiday means?
A public holiday, national holiday or legal holiday is a holiday generally established by law and is usually a non-working day during the year.
Ask students to say out pubic holidays in China they know and when we celebrate them. Present ways of express dates.
Step 2 Listening
1. Ask students to look at the picture and answer the questions of Activity 1.
2. Ask students to listen and do Activity

1. Ask students to talk about the question: What do you usually do during National Day?
2. Ask students to listen to the dialogue and answer the question: What are they talking about?
3. Ask students to complete the table.
